Dr. Kavan Patel graduated from St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies after obtaining his B.A. in Biology, Cum Laude, from New York University, New York, NY. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ and was selected to be Chief Resident from 2014-2015. His Fellowship in Gastroenterology was also earned at Cooper University Hospital, where he served as Co-Chief Fellow during the final year of his Fellowship in 2017-2018.
Dr. Patel is an Associate of the American College of Physicians. He has presented on thrombocytopenia at the Subspecialty Rounds Lecture Series while a Resident at Cooper University Hospital. He also twice presented on shock at the Intern Survival Lecture Series at the same hospital.
