Dr. Neil Nagaria completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, N.Y., followed by a two year Residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ-NJMS). He was selected as resident of the month twice and was Chief Medical Resident at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) from 2005-2006. After graduating, he continued at UMDNJ-NJMS to complete an intensive Fellowship in Gastroenterology and transplant Hepatology. With his diverse training at three different institutes (UMDNJ, Veterans Administration and HUMC) and working with prominent physicians in the same sub-specialty, he is well trained in basic (upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy) and advanced endoscopy (therapeutic biliary endoscopy, stent placements, wireless capsule endoscopy).
Throughout residency and fellowship training Dr. Nagaria authored and co-authored journal articles and abstracts, as well as presenting at national conferences on multiple occaisions. He is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
